Young Family

How Does It Work?

  • How do I decide on the right schedule for my family?
The most common request is for night care for 2-4 months on average, however some families also need help during the day and opt for 24 hour support to have a bit of day and night support. If you are unsure, focus on finding a caregiver you're comfortable with and work with them on a schedule that works for you both. If possible, you can agree to an inital period with the possibility of an extension.
  • What kind of Newborn Specialists are in your pool? What is their experience?
Our members are of a wide variety. Some are new in the field while others have extensive experience and their rates usually reflect this. Our pool of caregivers consist of candidates who have received professional training in Newborn Care. Some have worked as nannies and 'baby nurses' previously, and others are new to newborn care and interested in experience-based opportunities with entry-level rates. We recommend you speak with candidates to determine fit and qualifications according to your preferences. Please note: the decision to hire is yours and requirements vary by family.
  • How much do your care members charge?
We don't determine the rates of caregivers in our database and rates vary by location, experience, education and schedule. On average, most trained newborn care professionals with verifiable references earn between $20-40 per hour or $200-500+ per day. While this is a wide range, some newborn specialists may be willing to work with you on rates based on the needs of your family, the duration of the job and the level of their experience.
  • Is there a fee to find care with Newborn Care Club?
We do not charge an agency fee at this time. Our goal is to help connect families with our trained Newborn Care Specialist student members who are dedicated to working as a professional baby care specialist or nanny. Families can submit their job for free and receive responses from interested caregivers. You will be responsible for evaluating candidates for fit. *We offer background check packages that can be ordered for a nominal fee. We strongly recommend families conduct background checks on caregivers being considered for work.
